We specialize in commercial refrigeration, walk-in coolers and freezers, commercial kitchen equipment, and mechanical installations throughout Central and Southern Ohio.

What the job takes, and what we expect.
Key responsibilities
As our Lead Refrigeration Installer, you will be responsible for overseeing and performing commercial refrigeration installations, with an emphasis on walk-in coolers and freezers.
- Lead commercial walk-in cooler and freezer installations from start to finish.
- Assemble and install insulated walk-in panels, doors, ceilings, and associated components.
- Install remote refrigeration systems, condensing units, evaporators, and associated equipment.
- Install and braze refrigeration piping, including ACR copper line sets.
- Perform pressure testing, evacuation, refrigerant charging, and system commissioning.
- Install and configure refrigeration controls, defrost systems, and associated components.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, refrigeration schematics, and equipment specifications.
- Coordinate installation activities with project managers, general contractors, and other trades.
- Lead and assist installation technicians while maintaining quality and productivity.
- Ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications, applicable codes, and company quality standards.
- Troubleshoot installation-related issues and ensure systems operate properly before turnover.
Required qualifications
Minimum 6 years of hands-on commercial walk-in cooler and freezer installation experience.
- Extensive experience installing commercial walk-in coolers and freezers.
- Strong knowledge of commercial refrigeration piping, components, and system operation.
- Experience installing and commissioning remote condensing units and evaporator systems.
- Proficiency in copper brazing, nitrogen pressure testing, evacuation, and refrigerant charging.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and refrigeration schematics.
- Experience leading installations or supervising other technicians.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- EPA Section 608 certification appropriate for the work performed.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high standards of workmanship.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with large commercial and industrial walk-in refrigeration systems.
- Experience coordinating installations on active construction sites.
- Knowledge of electronic refrigeration controls and modern refrigerants.
- Experience training or mentoring junior installers.
